From a very early age I developed a keen interest in photography. Both my father and grandfather were both
competent amateur photographers and may of their early photographs have withstood the test of time -
something in the Speight genes perhaps

Over the years, I have tried to keep up with modern technology and continue to look at ways of improving my skills. I currently use a Canon 5D digital SLR, with several lenses and use Adobe Photoshop to edit my images. I have added a few useful programmes on the Links page which have been used to create some of the gallery images.I provide publicity photographs for several local theatre companies in Leicestershire and I have provided links to these companies. In 2009, I produced a book - entitled 'Quorn Then And Now' - photographic history of Quorn (my home village), using many of my grandfather's images from the early 1900's. The sale of the book raised the sum of £3000 which was donated to local causes.
